| dc.description.abstract | The project “Automating Audit Task” is done to make the auditing process simpler and automated. The project will help to generate reports on daily basis, which will help the team to perform auditing. The script deals with excel reports which contain the associate information which is necessary to pull out user account information from the database. In today’s world, many organizations are considering automation in auditing which is faster and accurate. The manual auditing requires a lot of time and it may be efficient when we are dealing with the servers. Every company has come up with its own automation tool which will reduce the human effort. All these automation tools are capable of dealing with databases and servers. To run a script in the windows server is not an easy task. Not all the software scripts can be run in the server. There are only two scripting languages which can be used in windows server that is VB Script and PowerShell. In this project I have used VB script which also supports object oriented programming concept. The objects are the associates whose accounts are in focus. In this project, we have to deal with two databases. One from which the data will be extracted and another one where the information will be stored about what has been modified. This project also consists of html programming because the output report file needs to be in html format. The output file needs to be in a summarized format which will be read by another script to perform certain actions. The report file will be containing user account names, ids, manager name, department, role and the current status of their employment. All these information will be considered in another script which will perform certain operations according to the status. | en_US |
