dc.description.abstractThere have been so many disastrous incidents occurring throughout the year which makes us think why we are helpless even in this era with so much of advanced technologies. One such incident was the recent Chennai flood. Even though technology had helped in the rescue, it was not beneficial to the majority. This was the main motivation for us to choose “Personal Disaster Alert & Rescue Aid using IoT” as our area of project. The idea of this project is to provide a mechanism to make any alerts reach the common people faster and also help the responsible bodies get information about the affected people, so that the rescue operation can be more efficient and faster. This also helps to manage the medical needs effectively. This device is not limited to disaster but can also could be used for military operations as well as sharing any public information.en_US
