| dc.description.abstract | This project is an innovative idea to convert the age old traditional containers into smart containers. The implementation of the same is done with the help of a set of sensors and a microcontroller. The smart container implemented can be used for small scale level of containers where the weight of commodity is limited to a small value, period. The system is intended to automatically maintain the level of the container and notify the seller automatically when the minimum value of any commodity in the container is met. The constant human involvement in tracking the commodity level can be avoided to an extent and the overall activity can be reduced. A variety of system configurations are implemented ranging from an active system with microcontroller-based containers instrumented with sensors. | en_US |
