Abstract
This study examines how nano additives affect the operation, combustion, and emission properties of diesel and biodiesel blend-fuelled compression ignition (CI) engines. It is essential to incorporate biodiesel into fuel systems to address environmental concerns and the depletion of fossil fuels because it offers a sustainable substitute for conventional diesel. Improvements are necessary, though, because biodiesel performs worse and emits more certain pollutants. Because of their large surface area and catalytic qualities, nano additives may enhance the characteristics of fuel. Experimental investigations are conducted using a single-cylinder CI engine under different operating conditions, including various load levels and engine speeds. Comprehensive analysis techniques such as combustion pressure analysis, exhaust gas analysis, and engine performance measurements are employed to evaluate the effects of nano-additives on engine combustion and emissions characteristics.
