dc.description.abstractIn this work, An Experimental setup is devised to study the characteristic behavior of Bismuth Telluride (Bi2Te3) Thermo electric Generator which is a semiconductor device used in generating electrical power energy from thermal energy. The variables considered for conducting this experimental work is as follows: CASE A: Connecting multiple TEGs in series by varying the thickness of aluminum supporting block with varying mechanical loading without application of thermal grease. CASE B: Connecting multiple TEGs in series by varying the thickness of aluminum supporting block at constant maximum mechanical loading with application of thermal grease. With the above 2 cases a study is made for 3 variable thickness of Aluminum supporting block (10mm, 15mm, 20mm) by placing it on Aluminum base plate with the application of mechanical load at a range of temperature difference In the CASE A, we observe that at maximum mechanical loading of 41.52 kg without the application of thermal grease we conclude that using 15mm thick aluminium supporting block, maximum electrical power upto 2.973 Watts can be generated with an increment of 39.07%. Based on this observation CASE B experiment was conducted at constant maximum mechanical loading of 41.52 kg with the application of thermal grease and were able to generate maximum electrical power of 4.96W for 20mm thick Aluminum supporting block using Aluminum as a base plate.en_US
