This project proposes a novel approach to enhance data sharing flexibility and security in cloud environments using Identity-Based Encryption (IBE) transformation. As cloud computing becomes increasingly prevalent, the need for secure and efficient data sharing mechanisms grows. Traditional encryption methods often struggle to balance security with the dynamic nature of cloud-based collaborations. Our solution leverages IBE to create a system where data can be encrypted using unique identifiers, such as email addresses, as public keys. This eliminates the need for complex key management infrastructure while maintaining strong security. The core innovation lies in the transformation mechanism that allows encrypted data to be re-encrypted for different recipients without decryption, preserving confidentiality throughout the process. We introduce a proxy re-encryption scheme that enables fine-grained access control and revocation, addressing the challenges of data ownership and access rights in shared cloud environments. The system is designed to be computationally efficient, minimizing overhead on both client and cloud server sides. We implement and evaluate our approach using real-world datasets and scenarios, demonstrating its effectiveness in terms of security, performance, and scalability.
