| dc.description.abstract | An attempt has been made in this project to use LPG as alternative fuel in four stroke petrol engine to increase the efficiency. Our fore most aim in selecting this project is to use non-conventional fuel as an alternative for conventional fuel which is becoming scarce and costly now days. So there is a huge demand for the alternative fuel for petrol engine bike which are currently running on petrol as fuel, because of this problem we have designed LPG kit which can be fitted to Petrol engine bike so that bike can run either on Petrol or on LPG. using LPG as fuel running cost of the bike can be reduced to half of the price which is spent by Petrol, and installing cost of the LPG kit to the petrol engine bike is also cheaper which is most important factor of this project. Usually a bike normally runs on a petrol fuel in some cases diesel powered bikes are also available in market, but the problem is that these fuel’s resources are in the danger of scarcity and also burning these fuels raises global warming which is also a great threat to entire world. hence an alternative fuel is essential to fight against scarcity, In term of long sight some alternative fuels are suggested and such alternative fuels are Methyl alcohol, Compressed natural gas(CNG), Liquefied petroleum gas(LPG). In this project we have taken LPG fuel fuel as solution for the cause and designed kit. The developed project facilitates auto switch over from Petrol to LPG which is one of the objective of the proposed work. By burning pure fuel in the engine will prevent entry of 1.5crores tons of carbon and NOx pollutant from air per day in India alone,LPG project will drastically improve Air quality, millions of urban people suffering from Air pollutant. Even lot more savings will be on account of engine life and maintenance. | en_US |
