Abstract
Today, in every organization personnel planning as an activity is necessary. It is an important part of an organization. Human Resource Planning is a vital ingredient for the success of the organization in the long run. There are certain ways that are to be followed by every organization, which ensures that it has right number and kind of people, at the right place and right time, so that organization can achieve its planned objective. Management thinkers have presented several managerial function for instance, Henri Fayol felt that management involve 5 functions, namely planning, organizing, command, co-ordination and control after having determined the number and kinds of personnel required, the human resource or personnel manager proceeds with the identification of sources of hazard prevention and finding suitable candidate for employment.
