Abstract
This report was commissioned to assess the need for introducing the Mobile Banking application for Ujjivan Financial Services ltd which has been granted the SFB licence from RBI. The research draws attention to the fact that the SFB customers though illiterate or less educated, are willing to adapt to changing trends in banking and technology. Although the target customers may or may not own a smart phone, most of them are ready to adopt the facilities provided to them by Ujjivan. The customers also have a loyalty towards Ujjivan which probes them to trust the facilities provided to them by Ujjivan. Language barriers and technological aspects are the major reasons for customers to back out apart from not having a smart phone, to adapt the facilities of mobile banking. It is recommended:
That the customers should be given proper guidance and training with respect to the application on mobile phones.
The application should be possibly made in regional languages or at least major languages spoken among the target customers.
The Importance of using technology should be told to the SFB customers and they should be trained on the same.
