Abstract
Cloud computing infrastructures are popularly used by people nowadays, using clouds to host data query services has become an appealing solution for the advantages on scalability and cost saving. However some of the data might be sensitive that the data owners does not want to place these data on the cloud unless data confidentiality and query privacy are guaranteed by the cloud provider. In cloud if the user can get secured query then the efficiency of the query processing will be increased and significantly reduce the workload of query services to fully realise the benefits of cloud computing. To provide the confidentiality and efficient query services here we proposed RASP method, RASP denotes Random Space Perturbation. It combines order preserving encryption, dimensionality expansion, random noise injection and random projection, to provide strong resilience to attacks on perturbed data and queries. It also preserves multi- dimensional ranges which allows existing indexing techniques to be applied to speedup range queries. In order to process kNN (k nearest neighbour) queries we use kNN algorithm designed with RASP range query algorithm. We have carefully analysed the attacks on data and queries under a precisely define threat model and realistic security assumptions.
