Match – Game Recommendation System is a web-based application developed to help users discover video games according to their interests, personality, play style, and gaming preferences. The system provides personalized game recommendations using a quiz-based recommendation engine integrated with the IGDB API. The application allows users to search games, explore detailed game information, view ratings, screenshots, trailers, genres, and discover similar games. The platform uses real-time gaming data fetched dynamically through the IGDB API, ensuring updated and accurate information for users. The recommendation system works by collecting user preferences through a multi-step personality quiz. Based on user responses such as play style, skill level, available gaming time, personality type, and favorite genres, the system maps the inputs to suitable game genres and recommends games accordingly. The project is developed using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL. Bootstrap is used to create a responsive and attractive gaming-themed interface, while PHP handles backend logic and API communication. MySQL stores user accounts and quiz results securely. The main objective of the project is to provide gamers with a smart and user-friendly platform for discovering games efficiently without manually searching across multiple gaming websites.
