Abstract
Pastoria is a student-built, immersive virtual reality experience that brings history to life through virtual tours of ancient monuments and heritage sites. It’s designed for anyone who’s ever wanted to explore the past up close—without needing a passport or a time machine. Whether you're a student, teacher, or just someone who loves history, Pastoria lets you walk through historic locations, listen to engaging narrations, and take in 360° visuals—all from your computer. The project uses free, publicly available 3D models and platforms like Unity to create an interactive experience that feels personal and educational. Users can move around, hear ambient sounds from the era, and get contextual facts along the way. It’s accessible on desktops and can later be expanded for budget VR headsets, making it an affordable tool for classrooms and curious learners alike.
