Abstract
This project proposes the development of an online library management system to streamline library operations and enhance user experience.
The system will cater to different user roles:
Members:Searchthelibrarycatalog,borrowandreturnresources,andmanagetheir accounts.
Librarians:Manageresources(adding,editing,trackingavailability),useraccounts, and generate reports.
Admin:Configuresystemsettings,manageuserrolesandsecurity.
The system will encompass a comprehensive resource collection including books, e- books, audiobooks, and potentially other formats (define as needed). Management features will include user and resource management, borrowing and returns functionality, robust search capabilities, and reporting tools for analyzing resource usage and user activity. Abstract principles like data encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism will be employed to ensure a modular, secure, and flexible design. This promotes code reusability, simplifies maintenance, and allows for future expansion with minimal modifications. The system will prioritize secure user authentication and authorization to restrict actions based on user roles. Error handling and scalability will also be addressed to ensure a robust and user-friendly experience.
This project aims to provide a comprehensive and efficient online library management system, fostering improved resource organization, streamlined workflows, and enhanced user access to library resources.
