dc.description.abstractSimarouba (Simarouba glauca L) belonging to the family simaroubaceae, is one of the promising bio-fuel trees which has a potential to become new source of bio-oil. Simarouba glauca is a medium sized ever green tree with tap root system and cylindrical stem commonly known as paradise tree. The conventional method of de-pulping is a laborious and slow process, and de-pulping machine for simarouba seeds particularly not readily available in the present market. Hence, we have developed hybrid simarouba glauca seed de-pulping machine. It contains motorized equipment attached for easy and convenient way. The major components for de-pulping seeds are Frame, Motor, Pulley, vbelt, Bearing, Shaft, Steel disc, Steel drum and Steel tray. When the motor is switched on the torque from the motor is transmitted to the shaft by means of belt and pulley, since the disc is mounted on the shaft, also rotates and the fruits that are placed over the disc in the steel drum are centrifugally forced against the sharp holes of drum and the fruits get de-pulped. The pulp i.e., separated from seeds falls into the tray, which is collected later.en_US
